Why Waldbart
Being creative and working with our hands is our passion. Just like our promise to work in a consistently sustainable way. As a forester, founder Denny König attaches particular importance to sustainable working methods at Waldbart.
Our principles:
Natural materials
Wood is Waldbart's No.1 material, it is natural, healthy, renewable and stores permanently bound CO2. That's why we consciously choose our favorite material for our products. We consistently avoid the use of unnecessary chemical substances.
Individuality and longevity
We only manufacture small quantities and consciously focus on individual products of high quality, which increases durability and is good for us all
Upcycling
What is left over is reused as much as possible, what was intended for bulky waste is put to a new use wherever possible. Waldbart always strives to produce as little waste as possible and to reuse leftovers.
Renewable Energies
We work exclusively with electricity from renewable sources.
Short distances & Regionality
Our wood comes from local forests in the region. As a forester, founder Denny attaches particular importance to the origin of the materials used. Only wood from certified sustainable forestry is used. Waldbart avoids unnecessarily long transportation routes. If other trades or services are required, we do this in the immediate vicinity.
No tropical wood, no overexploitation
Of course, tropical woods are highly aesthetic and have very impressive properties, but their origin is often difficult to trace. Waldbart therefore does not use any tropical woods as a matter of principle.
Repair what you can
Maintaining and repairing things is not only fun, but also good for the environment. We always endeavor to carry out repairs first if it is feasible.
Social fairness
Sustainability also means social responsibility. For this reason, Waldbart supports an orphanage in Kenya, the Mama Paulina Academy in Migori not far from Lake Victoria, with its proceeds.
No mass produced goods
Each of our pieces is made exclusively and 100% for you in our wood manufactory in Berlin Rahnsdorf. We do not produce mass-produced goods, but sustainable products tailored to your wishes by hand. We usually need 5-7 days to ship your order. Depending on the product, however, it may take a little longer. In return, you will receive a truly unique item made especially for you.

We ship with DHL. The shipping costs vary depending on the size and weight of the item to be shipped. Alternatively, you can collect your goods directly from our manufactory in Berlin Rahnsdorf. In this case, you will receive a notification as soon as your unique item is ready for collection.
